Vologda Oblast and Minsk Tractor Plant agreed on a roadmap for localization of production of Russian-Belarus tractor equipment.
A delegation of the Vologda Region led by Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov has arrived in Sochi to take part in the Russian Investment Forum.
The Russian Investment Forum, the key business event for showcasing Russia’s investment and economic potential, will take place on February 15–16, 2018. The Investment Forum in Sochi is held annually and attracts participants from Russian regions and foreign countries.
During the Forum Vologda Oblast Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov will also oversee the signing of several agreements and documents intended to further expand the region’s partnership ties.
The machine-building cluster will be established at the Cherepovets Founding and Mechanical Plant (Vologda Region) within the cooperation agreement with Belarus Tractor Plant. It will allow increasing production of tractors, and the vehicles will be supplied to enterprises of agricultural, forestry and municipal sectors. Today the top leadership of the Vologda Oblast and Minsk Tractor Plant agreed on a roadmap for localization of production of Russian-Belarus tractor equipment.
The Vologda Oblast has been sustaining partnership ties with the Republic of Belarus for many years. The Republic of Belarus ranks among the most active CIS trade partners of the Vologda Oblast.
In March 2016 Vologda Oblast Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov and Director General of the Minsk Tractor Works (Belarus) signed an agreement of intent between the Vologda Region Government and the Minsk Tractor Works. The document envisages creation of favourable conditions for the development of long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation, and implementation of joint projects in the sphere of technical equipment of agro-industrial and forestry sectors.
