Since the beginning of 2024, 20000 cu m of birch veneer have been exported from the Vologda Region.

20,1 thousand cubic meters of birch veneer produced by Vologda’s enterprises were exported to foreign countries.
Most of the deliveries were sent to China. Vologda's birch veneer was also exported to Vietnam, Egypt and Morocco.
Since the beginning of 2024, 448 batches of birch veneer have been exported from the Vologda Region. All products meet the phytosanitary requirements of the importing countries.
During the same period of 2023, 18.4 thousand cubic meters of birch veneer were exported from the Vologda Region to seven countries in Asia and Africa (Vietnam, Georgia, Egypt, Kazakhstan, China, Malaysia, Turkey).
Birch veneer is peeled from the trunks of birch trees and used to make plywood. It is one of the most dimensionally stable plywoods in use today. It differs from other plywood in that it is one of the few plywoods manufactured with more than eight layers.
Birch veneer is a wood product made of very thin sheets of birch wood. It is used to cover furniture.
