Over 100 works of art of Ustyuzhna’s artist Evgeny Lebedev are displayed in Toholampi, Finland.
Works of art of Ustyuzhna’s artist Evgeny Lebedev are displayed in Toholampi located in the province of Western Finland.
Participation of Ustyuzhna’s atists and actors in a festival in Toholampi is arranged within the framework of the agreement on cultural cooperation between Ustyuzhna (Vologda Region) and Kannus (Finland) which adjoins Toholampi. The agreement was signed in December 2015.
The city of Ustyuzhna and Kannus, a town located in the province of Western Finland have been official twin cities for several years.
The Letters of Intent on establishing partnership ties between the towns were signed in 1995 and 2003. Within the framework of this cooperation partnership links were established in various spheres ranging from cultural sphere to public health care to sports.
It’s worth noting that Kannus is the only city in Finland which has sister cities in 15 countries. Ustyuzhna takes a very important place among them.
The new cooperation agreement envisages an exhibition of Ustyuzhna’s painters in Finland, concerts of local musicians and participation of Finnish craftsmen in the Ustyuzhna fair scheduled for August 2016.
The exhibition of Ustyuzhna’s artist will be open in Toholampi until September 2016. The exhibition will then travel around the country.
The delegation from the Vologda Oblast invited Finnish partners to take part a festival of blacksmith's works that will be held in Ustyuzhna in August 2016.
