On November 7th Governor of Vologda Region Oleg Kuvshinnikov visited the District of Kadui.

The District of Kadui is situated in the south-west of the Vologda Region. It has a very advantageous location, as it is situated at the intersection of highways and railroads. One of the major transportation routes connecting Central Russia and the Urals passes through the settlement of Kadui. Kadui is 18 km off the federal highway "Vologda-Novaya Ladoga" that links St.Petersburg with Veliky Ustyug, the hometown of Father Frost, and 56 km from Cherepovets, a big railway junction.
The District of Kadui is one of highly-developed districts of the Vologda Region. Industrial complex of the District of Kadui is represented by numerous enterprises working in the following fields: power engineering, timber industry, industry of construction materials and food industry. The district of Kadui also produces farm commodities and agricultural goods.
Oleg Kuvshinnikov arrived in the District of Kadui to inspect economic and social development of the district, the most important infrastructure facilities of the District and to get acquainted with the plans for their development.
Mr. Kuvshinnikov began his visit with a local electric power station, an ice-hokey stadium, a school of arts and a secondary school.
The program of the visit also included inspection of roads of the district and participation in a meeting of the City Planning Council.
The visit of Oleg Kuvshinnikov to the District of Kadui wound up with a meeting with the population of the district.
