Kirillov is to host a traditional festival of historical reenactment "Kirillo-Belozersky Siege" on June 29-30.

The festival has been staged in the Kirillo-Belozersky museum for several years. Clubs from different Russian cities will take part in it. This festival is one of the most spectacular summer events in Kirillov.
The battle between the Russian soldiers and the Polish and Lithuanian invaders for the besieged medieval fortress-city will be in the centre of the action.
The program of the festival also includes a historical fair, medieval amusements and melodies of medieval music.
Local residents, guests and tourists will have a wonderful opportunity to plunge into the interesting historical epoch - the 17th century and see reenactment of the monastery defence against the Polish-Lithuanian invaders with their own eyes.
