The Russian Hunting festival will be held on the territory of the Museum of Architecture and Ethnography Semyonkovo for the third year in a row.
The festival is organized to promote the traditions of the Russian North and development of event tourism in the Vologda Region.
The main objective of the festival is to tell tourists and residents of the region about the ancient traditions of the Russian North, to attract tourists to the Vologda Region and to expand the tourist flow to our region. This festival allows everyone to learn more about the natural resources of our region.
Russia is proud of the glorious history of hunting. The centuries-old history of Russian hunting originated in the Russian North. This tradition is popular nowadays thanks to the hunting enthusiasts. It is obvious that this festival will contribute to the preservation of old hunting traditions. Its rich program will make an indelible impression on numerous participants - both children and adults. It will allow them to get acquainted with the richest cultural and gastronomic heritage of the Vologda Region.
Vologda’s residents and guests of the city will be able to watch master classes of hunters. During the festival, professional hunters will show the work of greyhounds and demonstrate ways to lure birds and wild animals.
Master classes in archery and contests will be arranged for children. The museum houses will host master classes of traditional folk culture and an exhibition of hunting trophies.
