Vologda Oblast Governor is taking part in the XII International Investment Forum "Sochi-2013".
The Forum is held from September 26 through 29. The Forum has the status of an international annual event for leading companies and investors. The main objective is to provide an international meeting place for the representatives of the Russian and world business communities, scientists and government agencies to discuss modernisation and investment development of the Russian economy.
It is organized by the RF Ministry for Economic Development and Trade, RF Ministry of Foreign Affairs, RF Ministry for Regional Development, Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Administration of the Krasnodar Region.
This year the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, his deputies, federal ministers and high-ranking guests from 40 countries have arrived to participate in the forum.
The agenda of the event is devoted to topics such as improvement of the investment climate in Russia, attraction of capital to manufacture and infrastructure, influence of industrial spheres on the country's economic growth, innovative development and construction of an efficient system of state and private partnership.
The Delegation of the Vologda Oblast will present development of its timber industry, agribusiness, food industry and mechanical engineering and brief on development and transformation of industry parks on the territory of the Vologda Oblast. Mr. Kuvshinnikov is also to partake in a plenary session “Economic Development and Living Standards: Challenges and Perspectives” chaired by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. Apart from that, the Vologda Oblast Governor will take part in a number of roundtable meetings and will meet with businessmen.
