Georgy Filimonov will be inaugurated on September 26.

Georgy Filimonov, who has won Vologda’s gubernatorial election, is to be sworn in as the region’s Governor on September 26th, according to the Charter of the Vologda Region.
Five candidates were admitted and confirmed for gubernatorial election. With all the ballots counted, Acting Governor of the Vologda Region Mr. Filimonov received more votes than any other person - 62,3 % of the vote leaving in the dust other candidates. Georgy Filimonov has won the governor elections in the region.
Mr. Filimonov won the regional gubernatorial election with 273 380 votes in his favor after all of the ballots were counted.
Georgy Filimonov was followed by Alexander Morozov from the Russian Communist Party with 19,33% of the vote, Anton Grimov (LDPR) – 8,28%, Igor Katukhin (the Russian Party of Pensioners for Social Justice) – 4,02% and Denis Khripel (A Just Russia - Patriots - For Truth) – 4,42% of the vote.
