Black caviar from Vologda Region is exported to Jordan.

Black caviar is one of the most expensive food products in the world. The Vologda Region produces black caviar at the only enterprise, Diana, which is a part of the Russian Caviar House group of companies.
Russia's largest company for raising sturgeon in a hatchery and harvesting black caviar is located in Kadui District. The waterways' advantageous location next to the local hydroelectric station that provides hot water allows this thermophilic precious breed of fish to be raised all-year round.
The Vologda Region exported 12.6 kilograms of black caviar to Jordan, the product meets all the veterinary requirements of the recipient country. This is the first batch of Vologda's caviar exported to this country in 2024.
All in all, 171 kilograms of black caviar were exported from the Vologda Region to Vietnam, Indonesia, Qatar, Korea, Serbia and Turkey in 2023.
