Black caviar from Vologda Region is exported to Indonesia.

Black caviar is one of the most expensive food products in the world. The Vologda Region produces black caviar at the only enterprise, Diana, which is a part of the Russian Caviar House group of companies.
Russia's largest company for raising sturgeon in a hatchery and harvesting black caviar is located in Kadui District. The waterways' advantageous location next to the local hydroelectric station that provides hot water allows this thermophilic precious breed of fish to be raised all-year round.
In September 2024 the Vologda Region exported 20 kilograms of black caviar to Jordan, the product meets all the veterinary requirements of the recipient country.
All in all, 37 kilograms of black caviar was exported from the Vologda Region to Indonesia in 2023.
