Vologda’s Governor met with Olga Vasilyeva, Minister of Education and Science of Russian Federation.
During the meeting the parties agreed that additional funds from the federal budget will be provided for the Vologda Oblast to construct two schools in the Vologda Region – in Vologda and Cherepovets.
The means to construct new schools will be also allocated from the region’s budget. A secondary school in Vologda for 1224 places and a school for 1500 places in Cherepovets are to be commissioned by September 1, 2018.
On a visit to Moscow, Mr. Kuvshinnikov also briefed on implementation of another project - a child science park in Cherepovets. In 2016 the RF Cabinet of Ministers decided to allocate about one million roubles for construction of child science parks in 17 Russian regions, the Vologda Oblast among them.
The educational trial in science parks will encompass work over the product towards which the child is oriented and parallel study of the set of disciplines. The leading technical directions of a programme correspond to subjects of National technology initiative - robotics, energy, IT, and cracking, aircraft modelling, an unmanned transport, modern astronautics, neurotechnologies, nanotechnology, laser technologies, biotechnologies, big data.
