Vologda’s Governor opened a new kindergarten in Vologda City.
The significant event occurred in Vologda - the opening of a new kindergarten. The preschool institution is designed for 350 places and it will help to settle the problem of a lack of kindergarten places in the city.
The new 3-storey day care centre will become home for several groups of kids from eighteen months and six years of age. The new kindergarten is accommodated with musical and sports halls, sports grounds, and a swimming pool.
Mr. Kuvshinnikov noted that in the Vologda Region there is a positive trend in the birth rate and population migration. The demand for places in kindergartens is high because many parents want their 2- and 3-year-olds educated in institutions whose sole purpose is education. Vologda’s Governor said that over the last four years 8 new nursery schools were built in the region, many day care centres were renovated.
According to the top leadership of the Vologda Oblast, availability of places in preschool institutions for children from 3 to 7 years old in our region is 100 percent. By RF President's decree, municipalities are required to guarantee all children at least 3 years of age a spot in a nursery school.
