Vologda Region Government and Ruscam Glass Packaging Holding LLC (Turkey) signed a Protocol of intentions aiming to launch a glass plant in Vologda Region.
On August 13th, the Protocol of intentions was signed by Vologda Region Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov and Aydin Syuha Onder, General Director of Ruscam Management Company LLC. According to the agreements signed, the glassware production company will be launched in Sazonovo (Chagoda District) in April 2020.
Ruscam Glass Packaging Holding LLC is the part of industrial group SISECAM, one of the world's leading manufacturers of glass products, operating in 13 countries. The company produces high-quality products for the markets of beer, wine, strong alcoholic beverages and non-alcoholic beverages, food products and is the leading producer of glass containers in Russia. Its sales area includes Russia, Germany, France, Belgium, Finland, Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands, Italy, England, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Moldova.
The glassworks in Sazonovo suspended its work in 2013 as it became unprofitable. For six years, the Ruscam Glass Packaging Holding LLC has strengthened its presence in the domestic glass market that allowed the company to start working on the strategy of restarting the company in Chagoda District.
The Turkish glass product maker will ramp up production to over 65,000-70,000 tons of bottles per annum. The total investments will make up RUR 1 bln. Over 120 new working places will be created.
