Russian Federation is voting for regional food brands.

Nationwide voting for the best regional brands presented at competition "Tastes of Russia" opened on November 19th.
It is the first national competition of regional food brands which is organized by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. The competition is a part of a complex of actions for support of food branding. It is aimed to open regional gastronomic brands, and to acquaint consumers with a variety of unique Russian tastes.
The Vologda Region is presenting eight specialities – Vologda butter (top brand of the Vologda Region), semi-smoked sausage, linseed oil and milk Thistle oil, lemonade, natural mineral water, gingerbread and a fish pie (kalakurnik).
