Programming and robotics for kids in small towns: IT centre has opened in Gryazovets
To develop skills and abilities needed to obtain a future profession, an IT centre for children has been lauched in Gryazovets, Vologda Region.
Computers and other ICTs are included into children's learning experiences alongside many other kinds of activities. The centre has an IT ground, a large space for programming, prototyping, robotics, modelling, network administration and other disciplines, with school students provided state-of-the-art equipment.
This educational institution has been chosen so that children from different parts of Gryazovets District could have an opportunity to receive high level information technology education. Skills obtained are to help the children learn the basics of the most popular professions.
"Our children study in small groups, we focus on individual training. We want our graduates to acquire IT competencies necessary for their future occupation. Market analysis has shown that IT is one of the most promising fields, and our task is to train experts to respond to these market challenges”, said one of the coaches of the centre.
Seventeen companies are to be project partners and software developers.
