On the eve of National Unity Day celebrated in Russia on November 4, Vologda Region Governor Mr. Kuvshinnikov presented Vologda’s residents with state awards.
Russian state decorations have been awarded in Vologda today.
Oleg Kuvshinnikov presented orders, medals and honorary title certificates to outstanding Vologda's residents for their tangible contribution to socio-economic and cultural development of the region.
Orders, medals and certificate conferring honorary titles have been awarded to 24 doctors and paramedical staff who treat coronavirus patients. The Governor warmly thanked all medics for their work and especially those who are in the truly frontline battle with the coronavirus in recent eight months. The lives and health of thousands of people depend on the timely and competent actions of medical workers.
Today the Russian state decorations have also been awarded to prominent figures from the culture and arts world, agriculture, sports, education professionals, and representatives of other professions.
