On December 5th Vologda Region Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov held a direct line.
Oleg Kuvshinnikov held a direct communication session during which he responded to questions from citizens of the Vologda Region.
The annual Direct Line with Oleg Kuvshinnikov was broadcast live by Channel Russia-24, Ryssky Sever Channel in Vologda, 12 TV Channel in Cherepovets, Vologda Oblast official website and governor’s website.
Representatives of youth and veteran organizations, as well as activists and journalists from different parts of the Vologda Region were invited to participate in the direct line.
To begin with, the head of the region thanked residents of the Vologda Region for their support in the gubernatorial elections (Oleg Kuvshinnikov won reelection for his second consecutive term in office with 60,79 % of the vote in September). The Governor assured that he will play a major role in the regional sustainable development.
During the live broadcast that lasted 2 hours and 30 minutes, the Vologda Oblast Governor answered dozens of questions out of the over 2,000 that were received.
The focus of the annual question and answer session was on results of the work of the local government, work of city planning councils, social and economic development of the Vologda Region.
Especially popular in the course of the discussion were questions about the economic development of the region, road construction, public health care, social security and education. There were also questions about construction of schools and kindergartens, street lighting installation, gasification, public transport and others.
