PhosAgro, a Russian vertically integrated company, one of the world's leading producers of phosphate fertilizers launches a new ammonium sulphate production plant in Cherepovets.
Cherepovets - PhosAgro, a leading global vertically integrated phosphate-based fertilizer producer, announces that Vologda Region Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov, during his visit to Cherepovets, participated in a ceremony to mark the official launch of operations of PhosAgro's new ammonium sulphate production complex.
An ammonium sulphate production plant with a capacity of 300 ths tonnes per year at its Cherepovets site becomes the first enterprise in Russia and one of the largest in the world.
The technology for PhosAgro is completely new. The uniqueness is that the production requires a minimum of energy resources, using pure ammonia and pure sulfuric acid, which is produced at the Cherepovets site.
“PhosAgro continues to develop dynamically, it proves its competitiveness and it produces unique products that are in high demand all over the world. The regional government supports all investment projects of the company at the Cherepovets industrial site. Over the past few years, we have provided a number of investment tax benefits, thanks to which the company increases production volumes and taxes to the budget of the Russian Federation and the Vologda Region every year”, noted Vologda Region Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov.
