In accordance with the RF President’s instructions, Vologda Region Government launched a regional Information and Analytics Centre.
Vologda Region Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov got acquainted with the work of the Centre.
The Information and Analytics Centre includes a Situation Centre and a Regional Management Centre. The Situation Centre combines issues of socio-economic development, integrated security and monitoring the operational situation.
“Having launched the centre, we answer any questions that people have in real time. If a problem is local, a department regulates the issue, if a problem is more serious, then members of the regional Government and the Governor are involved", said Oleg Kuvshinnikov.
The Situation Centre covers all spheres of life: socio-economic and socio-political development, public security and emergency response. It focuses on natural catastrophes, man-made disasters, floods and fires. In the near future, the Situation Centre will forecast the processes taking place in the region.
The Regional Management Centre is a centralized unit that provides expertise in a broad range of services including appeals and addresses from citizens, feedback, defining problems and identifying possible solutions to them.
The main purpose of the Situation Centre is to obtain reliable information fast enough. It will improve the quality and speed of decision-making. It will make life in the region more comfortable.
“The Vologda Region is one of the first regions in Russia’s North-West that created such centre and put it into operation. The task of the centre is to accumulate appeals, promptly resolve issues and analyze the problems that provoke these appeals. Feedback from residents is extremely important for authorities at all levels. People need to be listened to and heard, and problems that concern the residents of the region should be solved promptly”, underlined Alexander Gutsan, Plenipotentiary Presidential Representative in the North Western Federal District.
