Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov thanks doctors for effort in fighting coronavirus.
Vologda Region Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov visited a hospital in Cherepovets and addressed medical workers who are currently at the forefront of the coronavirus pandemic.
The head of the region warmly thanked the doctors for their dedicated work, due to whose efforts the country has an effective prevention and treatment system, pulling together all the resources.
“I want to appeal to our doctors, paramedics, medical sisters, hospitals, and polyclinics employees, ambulance services. You are now at the frontline of defending the region. I sincerely thank you all for your dedicated work,” stated Mr. Kuvshinnikov.
The Governor brought express coronavirus tests that provide the result in just 15 minutes. The express tests for the detection of the new coronavirus infection and the presence of immunity to it will be used for patients and doctors who are fighting the pandemic. 600 rapid-result coronavirus tests were delivered to the hospital in Cherepovets.
Mr. Kuvshinnikov assured that doctors and other healthcare professionals on the frontline of the coronavirus outbreak will be paid promised bonuses. Russian President Vladimir Putin in early April ordered monthly payouts ranging from 25,000 and 50,000 rubles for nurses, paramedics and ambulance drivers and 80,000 rubles to doctors treating Covid-19 patients.
“All categories of healthcare workers should be eligible for the bonuses and should be compensated whether or not they deal directly with Covid-19 patients or if the patients’ tests are confirmed,” noted Oleg Kuvshinnikov.
