Segezha Group, a forest industry enterprise, has launched a new industrial facility at Sokolsky woodworking plant in the Vologda Region - the drier installation for production of dry lignosulphonate.
Vologda Region Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov visited the Sokolsky woodworking plant.
The capacity will amount to 21,000 tons of dry lignosulphonate a year. The budget of the project is RUB 0.3 bln. The new enterprise will help create 20 new jobs.
The technological foundation for the new product is liquid lignosulphonate, which is generated as waste during production of pulp. After the substance is dried, it turns into a brown powder, a mixture of sodium salts of lignosulphonic acids, reducing and mineral substances. The dry substance content in powdered lignosulphonates after drying will amount to up to 96%, with only up to 4% liquid.
This product will allow Sokolsky woodworking plant to enter new markets. As by-product of the pulping industry, lignosulfonates are of low price. But they find a large field of applications - in production of technical carbon, in the oil industry, in foundry operation, in the concrete industry, in building industry (making particle boards, cellulose fiber boards, glass wool boards) and in road construction.
The new industrial facility at Sokolsky woodworking plant will be commissioned in December 2020.comments powered by HyperComments
