An additional RUR 100 mln will be allocated from the federal treasury to balance the budget of the Vologda Oblast.

In late August 2013 Vologda Oblast Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov met Leonid Gornin, Deputy Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation to discuss the region’s budget performance and budget equation in 2013.
The Governor briefed on a difficult situation that the Vologda Oblast is experiencing at the moment. Over the seven months of 2013 the consolidated revenues amounted to only 50%. The income tax paid to the budget of the Vologda Oblast reduced two times.
The Region and its leadership are taking efforts to stabilize the situation. The measures taken by the local government were fully supported by the Federal Government and the Vologda Region will now get RUR 653 mln to balance its budget.
