Folklore Festival "The Village - the Soul of Russia" has been postponed until 2022 in line with a ban on large-scale events.

Folklore Festival "The Village - the Soul of Russia" announced it would postpone until 2022, taking into account the epidemiological situation.

The Interregional Folklore Festival "The Village - the Soul of Russia" was scheduled for 19-21 August, 2021, Kadui District (Vologda Region).

The Interregional Folklore Festival "The Village - the Soul of Russia" has received the status of Russian festival. Vologda Region Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov proposed to give the event the status of the Russian festival in August 2019. The Governor's decree of January 16, 2020 gave the festival " The Village - the Soul of Russia" the status of an all-Russian event.

The folklore festival “The Village - the Soul of Russia” has been held in the Vologda Region since 2014. It unites the best amateur groups, craftsmen, researchers in the field of traditional folk culture. The creative project is aimed at preserving cultural identity, creating conditions for the development of traditional folk culture and promoting the cultural and historical heritage of the Vologda Region and various regions of Russia.
