Coronavirus: a high-alert status due to the continuing spread of COVID-19 will last in Vologda Region till October 31.
The Vologda Region Government takes all possible measures aimed to contain the spread of coronavirus infection and to reduce social contacts frequency.
On September 27th the Vologda Region Governor held a meeting with local government members and discussed preventive measures amid coronavirus pandemic.
During the meeting Vologda Region Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov who heads the Emergency Headquarters for Infection Control in the region briefed on the current situation at the health care facilities and on the increase rate of new cases of the coronavirus infection.
The Governor stressed that at this very moment the hospitals are ready to repurpose 400 beds to accommodate those infected with a coronavirus infection and provide them with the necessary treatment. Mr. Kuvshinnikov said that almost 90% of the region's hospital beds for coronavirus patients are currently occupied.
The Vologda Region Government allows theaters, cinemas, museums, galleries and children’s centres to operate up to 50% of normal capacity.
