Andrey Lamov, a Cherepovets-born athlete, won a gold medal of the world championships in Krasnoyarsk, Russia.

Ski orienteering world championships took place in Krasnoyarsk, Russia, on March 5-13, 2017.

Russia took gold in men’s relay on March 12, ending the Championships on a high note. Sportsmen from 14 countries participated in the relay. The Russian men’s team (Andrey Grigoriev, Kirill Veselov, Andrey Lamov) won gold medals of the last competition of the world championships.

As for the results of the world championships in Krasnoyarsk, Sweden won the most golds, but Russia the most medals overall – eleven compared to Sweden’s seven, counting team medals as one.
