Born October 23, 1932 in the village of Timonikha (the Vologda Oblast).
1964 - entered the Literature Institute named after M.Gorky.
Wrote many original works: "Usual Thing", "Carpenter Stories", "Eve", "Year of Great Crisis", "Everything is Ahead", "Over the Pure Water", "Family Holidays".
Many of his plays were put on the stage.
He also wrote a lot of articles for newspapers.
1981 - was awarded the State Prize.
1984 - was awarded the Lenin Order.
1992 - was awarded the literary Prize of Russian Writers' Union.
1994 - was awarded the All-Russian literary Prize named after Aksakov.
